- My favorite car Porsche BoxsterHi，everyone. It is still early days with my new (used) 981Boxter but I intend to report on any unusual running expenses if I get the chance to update this review. I did consider a few new hot hatches mainly the Mercedes Benz A45 or Audi RS3. I also considered a brand new 718 series Boxter . Interestingly neither the Mercedes Benz or Porsche dealer that I approached offered me a test drive of either car - I guess they are selling like chocolate cakes! So far， I couldn’t be happier though - I have a near new convertible Porsche for (premium) hot hatch money. As for for my "ego"， ok， I agree buying a P car must involve one’s ego to some extent. But my main priority was to buy the best value， fun， sport car that I could buy. Having driven a fair few super cars， it was important that the performance was there too， hence my pleasant surprise at the combination of the "2.7" engine with the PDK transmission. I already have another (more practical) sedan so practicality is not an issue. Having said that the 981Boxter is surprisingly practical (as long as it does not involve hauling too many passengers). I also suspect that it is a lot more focussed and fun than any other hot hatch out there， particularly with the top down on a nice sunny day. As for future expenses， time will tell…. I will try to report back.Thank you ：）

Thank you for sharing your review with us. Porsche now sells more SUVs than it does sports cars, but the company hasn’t forgotten its roots, and models such as the Boxster still put the emphasis on driving thrills. Beautifully made, a dream to drive and usually very reliable, the third-generation 981 Boxster needn’t be costly to run and is surprisingly practical. Hugely appealing as a new buy, the Boxster is even more alluring when bought used ？ if you do your homework. We look forward to your next visit!
